Washington, D.C. offers a variety of cuisines for every taste. Enjoy meals at the Omni or at one of the numerous restaurants the city has to offer.
Breakfast
Robert's Restaurant at the Omni offers continental cuisine and tranquil views of the city. Stop by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner seven days a week from 6:30AM to 10:30PM. For on-the-go fare, don’t miss the hotel’s gourmet coffee bar, Morsels, offering pastries, sandwiches, salads and desserts at a convenient location. Located nearby, Open City also offers a range of delicious breakfast options.
Coffee Breaks
Coffee is complementary and will be served in designated areas twice per day—from 10:00AM to 10:30AM and again from 3:00PM to 3:30PM.
Lunch
Lunch boxes will be provided at the conference to reduce waiting time. We encourage you to browse the poster displays during this time or visit the conference exhibition.
Dinner
- Dining near the Omni: A popular dining destination, New Heights offers contemporary American cuisine and is located just a block away from the conference site. Other nearby options include Mr. Chen’s Chinese, Café Paradiso, and Murphy’s Irish Pub. For a taste of Lebanese cuisine, visit Lebanese Taverna or head to Medaterra for a mix of American and Mediterranean dishes.
- Fine Dining: For upscale comfort food, don’t miss out on Central Michel Richard or head to Monocle on Capitol Hill, where you may spot a legislator or two. For a delicious steak dinner, be sure to make a reservation at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse or Charlie Palmer Steak. Other options include DC Coast or Ristorante La Tosca to satisfy your craving for hearty Italian fare.
- Ethnic Restaurants: For an exotic dining experience, venture out to Bombay Club for spicy Indian, Jaleo for Spanish tapas, Oyamel for exquisite Mexican fare, or Crème for American southern cooking. Be sure to check out Spices Asian if you are in the mood for Sushi and stop by Zeds for a taste of Ethiopian cuisine. Zaytinya also offers delicious dishes, drawing on Turkish, Greek, and Lebanese inspiration.
- On the Lighter Side: If you aren’t looking for a three-course meal, stop by the The Burger Joint for a great burger. Level One and Bistro d’Oc are also great options for a quick bite. Good Stuff Eatery or Five Guys are popular with the locals and offer an array of options for casual dining.
- Ice-Cream and Cupcake Stops: To satisfy your sweet tooth be sure to check out Larry’s homemade ice cream, located just north of Dupont Circle. Stop by Iceberry and Mr. Yogato for delicious frozen yogurt or pay Georgetown Cupcakes a visit for a delicious cupcake (or three). For ice cream that is made on site, don’t miss out on Max’s!
- Bars: Popular bars in the area include Ireland’s Four Fields, Café Citron and BELGA. If these don’t do the trick, take a stroll through historic Georgetown and you will be sure to trip upon unique cafes, bars, and lounges.
